Is 2010’s “surprise” package ‘Telangana’?

The regular business of Congress Core Committee seems to be nothing more than discussing on the crisis of Andhra Pradesh. It is for the nth time that Core Committee has held its meeting. Media reports from New Delhi highlight the point that Congress High Command may again come up with a statement on Telangana with in next two days.

This would be the third time that Congress high command will be releasing a statement related to the issue of Telangana and United Andhra Pradesh. Media has even come up with news that, this third statement may deal exclusively with the “Process” that is already “initiated” for the formation of Telangana. (repeating the first time statement)

As already read in second statement that “extensive” discussions to be undertaken…now, the third statement may deal with “rules and regulations” and “principles” those are to be adhered in conducting these extensive discussions, with even key UPA allies being active members in summing up the final decision.

With new Governor Narasimhan on board, now the issue of Telangana may take any sharp turn with in next few days, as Congress high command is deliberately willing to see Governor play a pivotal role in this entire tussle.

2010, January month may be a surprise package for ‘Telangana’…either for acceptance of formation of separate statehood or to be remained as one of the strained issue with nearly 55 years of history behind, but with no solution obtained.
