One film which is compared equal and above to magnum opus Baahubali for now in North Indian cinema market is Salman Khan’s Tubelight scheduled for June 23 release. From the blockbuster combination of Salman and director Kabir Khan, what we heard in latest is Tubelight is sent back on to the editing table just few days before the release date.

Originally, Tubelight is locked for a runtime of 2 hours and 35 minutes. But now, the plans are dropped because makers went for a re-edit chopping 19 minutes scaling down the runtime to 2 hours and 16 minutes.

Generally, Kabir Khan keeps his narrative a bit lengthy. Bajarangi Bhaijaan was more than 3 hours but still emotions worked on peaks blessing a blockbuster result.

‘Multiplex audience favors short and crisp watching. For reasons unknown, Tubelight was firstly edited for 2 hours and 35 minutes runtime. They have now decided to cut down the film by 19 more minutes,’ a Mumbai source mentioned.

Such final moment re-edits are common when makers are doubtful on their final output. Hope, Tubelight has got both current and voltage within the prescribed limits else it can be a fuse-off. The moot question is, can Tubelight really beat Baahubali?
