Haiku(2026) Movie: Technicians Review

Haiku story is penned by Yuvaraj Chinnasamy. He tried to attract viewers with a romantic story including gen x elements. He starts the narration in an interesting manner and continues in the same manner. The uni dimensional screenplay did not lead to any confusion. Though the story is routine and screenplay also turned out predictable, the emotions he included in the film added value to the narration.

He shows the relations and the emotions in a different manner trying to be creative to some extent. The first half highlighted the connection between the lead pair before showing the flashback. While the first half has youthful and entertaining elements apart from few emotional sequences, the second half is loaded with powerful emotions and dialogues. Finally the film comes to a decent ending with the message to the genex viewers to move on from the past relationships.

Siddhu Kumar's songs are situational and impressive. The tunes connect chords with the viewers. He added value to the narration with his background music. He with his background music added more power to the soul of the film. The cinematography of Priyesh Guruswamy is good. He turned the youthful triangular love story into a colorful one with his camera angles capturing the natural locations in an appealing manner. The editing of Sakthi Pranesh is decent but there are few drags in the film that slowed the proceedings a bit. Dialogues are effective and impactful. Production values are good.

Haiku(2026) Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Haiku turns out to be a decent love story. Aegan, Femina George and Sridevi Appala did full justice to their roles and though director Yuvaraj Chinnasamy came up with a routine story and predictable screenplay, the performances made the film watchable to an extent. However, the lack of freshness in the story and screenplay played the spolsort. Little finetuning of the script and interesting and gripping screenplay would have added more impact to the final output. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 for Haiku.
