Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president D Srinivas on Monday met Chief Minister K Rosaiah at his camp office to discuss the strategy to be adopted in the upcoming by-elections to the 12 Assembly constituencies in the Telangana region.

The meeting assumes importance as the PCC chief leaving for New Delhi on Monday evening to appraise the High Command about the mood in the organization.

According to sources, the PCC president is learnt to have discussed the ground realities and party’s readiness to face the by-elections with the Chief Minister.

The PCC chief also informed the Chief Minister over his interaction with the Ministers, MLAs and district level leaders of 12 constituencies during the week.

The meeting lasted for nearly more than one hour and discussed threadbare all issues concerning the elections including fielding of candidates.

The PCC  chief also discussed the threats issued by Joint Action Committee of political parties and Telangana Rashtra Samiti demanding the Congress not to contest in the elections.

In New Delhi, the PCC chief will meet All India Congress Committee general secretary Veerappa Moily and Ahmed Patel to give the feedback.

Later he will meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and brief her over the developments in the state.He would discuss with Sonia on the  choice  of  likelycandidates for the ensuing  by-polls.
