The Srikrishna Committee, set up by the Centre to examine the situation in Andhra Pradesh in the wake of the demand for and against division of the state, on Wednesday heard the views expressed by the Telugu Desam Party Forum, which sought an integrated Andhra Pradesh.

Corroborating its arguments before the panel with a power-point presentation, the Tdp forum  strongly advocated an integrated Andhra Pradesh. The Forum comprising 19 senior Tdp leaders  drawn from Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema, opposed the bifurcation of the state. Explaining to the panel members with the help of statistics, the members showed how Telangana region was more developed than the Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions.

Referring to the Jalayagnam projects launched by former chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy the Forum said more there are more Jalyagnam projects in Telangana than in the Rayalaseema or Coastal Andhra.

MLC Nannapaneni Rajakumari, who was also in the delegation, read out poems written on `Telugutalli’ much to the amusement of the panel members.
