Hyderabad, Jan 8: Taking exception to the unilateral decision to revise the Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation bus fares in the state, the State Government on Friday transferred its managing director S S P Yadav to the Road Safety Authority. The Government took the decision after several political parties raised a hue and cry over the revision of fares and staged dharnas and agitations across the state.

Earlier, Transport Minister Satrucharla Vijayaramaraju said the RTC managing director did not even consult him or the Chief Minister regarding the bus fares.Taking a serious view on his comments against the Chief Minister, the government on Thursday issued a stricture and asked him to explain the reasons for taking the unilateral decision to revise bus fares. Not satisfied with his explanation, the Government on Friday shunted him to an inglorious position in the Road Safety Authority.
