KCR acting like Congress agent: Devender Goud

Senior Telugu Desam Party leader T Devender Goud on Tuesday predicted that Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao will merge his party with the Congress soon. 

Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, the senior TDP leader suspected KCR’s commitment over the Telangana issue. Mr Devender Goud alleged that KCR was using the Telangana agitation for his personal gains.

He doubted whether KCR would continue with the TRS or merge it into the Congress after a separate Telangana state is carved out of Andhra Pradesh ‘since he has no other agenda.’

Mr Goud said that KCR had been touring the Telangana region in the recent past only with the objective of poaching TDP MLAs so that the strength of the Congress could be increased.

“KCR is using the TRS like a branch office of the Congress to further the ruling party’s agenda,” Mr Devender Goud alleged. “Sooner or later, he would merge the TRS into the Congress on the lines of the Praja Rajyam Party,” the TDP leader continued to say.
