The Magnum Opus on Muslim God

Prophet Mohammed is believed as a messenger of God and he is the last prophet sent by God to restore the original faith and unify the tribes of Arabia into a single religious polity under Islam. In fact, this is a phenomenal subject never touched by any of the film producers all across the World. Thankfully ‘5F Films’, a conglomerate of professionals announced the launch of this magnum opus presentation, a period feature film titled ‘Karbala’ to be directed by Kalim Sheikh. 

This is unique and untold epic of supreme sacrifice and heroic martyrdom of Imam Hussain (Grandson of Prophet Mohammed). Film will be based on highly intriguing historic events which revolve around the journey of Imam Hussain and his eventual martyrdom along with his 72 faithful companions at the lands of Karbala, a city in present day Iraq happened in the year 680 AD. This movie will showcase valor at highly uneven battle of Karbala where on one side were small pious group of Imam Hussain and his devoted followers including children, women and aged and on other side was a large military detachment from the forces of Yazid I, the Umayyad caliph. The sacrifice of Imam Hussain and his followers is symbolic for victory of truth against falsehood. This epic remains un-paralleled in history and has not reached international audiences on a befitting large canvas. 

‘Karbala’ is scheduled to be shot in 1st quarter of 2013 mainly in Rajasthan and partially in Middle-Eastern locations after an extensive research done on the subject to ensure historic authenticity.
