The Awarapan 2 teaser dropped on Monday, bringing Emraan Hashmi back as Shivam Pandit 19 years after the 2007 cult classic. Released on June 29, the same date the original hit theatres, the teaser confirms Shivam survived the first film’s events. Emraan’s rugged look, intense action scenes, and emotional dialogues set the tone for the sequel. The teaser opens with Shivam recalling his painful past before diving into another dangerous mission, saying, “Maut bhi ajeeb hai... usne mujhe chhua, par apnaya nahi.”
Disha Patani joins the franchise in a mysterious role, while veteran Shabana Azmi appears as Nafisa, the film’s main antagonist. The teaser also features the line, “Kuch logon ki kahaniya unki marzi se khatam nahi hoti; unki kahani doosron ke liye likhi jaati hai,” hinting at Shivam’s selfless battle. It ends with a powerful dialogue, “Is baar ya to ye Awarapan khatam hoga ya main,” suggesting this mission is his most personal yet.
