Stars Films Which Got Shelved Mysteriously

Filmmakers and top stars plan crazy projects to create a sensation on silver screen thrilling movie lovers. However, at times their crazy projects get shelved mysteriously. Here are such crazy projects.

Many Tollywood producers used to make a beeline for Megastar Chiranjeevi. Dachen Jersey and Suresh Krishna under their joint direction planned to launch Megastar in Hollywood with Abu-Bagdhad Gajadonga. They planned the project with a budget of a whopping Rs 50 crs. However for some reason, the film got shelved.

Ram Gopal Varma started Vinalani Undi with Chiranjeevi and even shot a couple of songs. But for some reason, the film got shelved. Apart from it, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao’s Bhooloka Veedu and Puri Jagannadh’s Auto Jaani got shelved during the script stages.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan missed many blockbusters and few of his crazy projects didn't take off. They include Athadu, Idiot, Amma Naanna O Tamal Ammayi, Satyagrahi, Kobali and Cheppalani Undi. Few of the projects turned into blockbusters with other heroes while Satyagrahi, Kobali and Jesus Christ did not move forward.

Natasimha Balakrishna planned to remake his dad NTR’s yesteryear evergreen classic Nartanasala. However, the film got shelved with the tragic demise of Soundarya. Even his films like Vikrama Simha Bhupati with Kodi Rama Krishna and Hara Hara Mahadeva with B Gopal did not take off.

Venkatesh planned Golipuram Railway Station with Vamsi. The film did not materialize. Same is the case with Maruthi’s Radha. He however directed Venkatesh in Babu Bangaram.  But Venkatesh’s Saviri with Teja, Adallu Meeku Joharlu with Kishore Tirumala got shelved after scripts got finalized.

Kamal Haasan’s dream project Marudhanayagam was launched in a grand manner by Britain Queen Elizabeth. Shooting also progressed for quite some time but for some reason it got shelved.

Apart from it, Ram Charan’s Merupu, another film with Koratala Siva, Mahesh Babu’s Jana Gana Mana with Puri Jagannadh, NTR’s Pedodu with Lawrence didn't go to sets though all the projects got finalized. There are many films which got shelved at the discussion stages.
