Allu Aravind is a master strategist and has good business acumen. He entered into OTT platform launching Aha app and has been promoting rigorously.
But lack of interest among people in Aha compared to other OTT apps came as a shock for him. Analysts after seeing the content in Aha app felt that to gain upper hand in the digital war, one should have excellent quality content. They felt that the web series available in Aha are not that interesting.
They say one should start coming with engaging web series with top stars continuously or else at least have minimum guarantee actors. They are of the opinion that spending crores lavishly on top directors and come with web series with fadeout actors, it will not get the desired response.
Viewership is important on OTT platforms and most of the OTT apps are targeting youth and ladies. To attract them one should have every frame exciting and increase suspense. Even the teasers, promos and promotions of Aha app are not at all exciting.
Compared to Aha app, the webseries teasers and trailers in Amazon and Netflix are of high quality. Allu Aravind lacked the same skill and such lackluster and lethargic content and promotions will land the investors in huge losses.
