Dada Shooting Resumes With Nandamuri Balakrishna Return

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming action drama Dada is progressing rapidly under director Gopichand Malineni. The actor recently recovered from an injury sustained during filming and is set to resume shooting in Mysuru. Reports indicate that Balakrishna will join the schedule from October 5, with important action sequences planned.
Dada is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and reunites Balakrishna with Gopichand Malineni after Veera Simha Reddy. Set against an 1980s Mumbai backdrop, the film features Kajal Aggarwal, Manchu Manoj, Samuthirakani, Sarathkumar and others. Thaman is composing the music.
The Mysuru schedule is expected to include major action and dramatic portions before the team moves to Andhra Pradesh to complete pending work, including the previously interrupted Kakinada schedule.
Despite the shooting disruption, the makers have officially locked December 24, 2026, as Dada’s worldwide theatrical release date. With a Christmas release, Balakrishna’s mass image and the Malineni combination, expectations remain high for a strong theatrical opening.
