Anr who had taken this as a challenge, even reduced his remuneration for the role. In the film, Anr was seen as a rough villager who turns out completely as a polished person after going to the city.

Anr decided to do something new to look even more stylish in the song 'kala nijamayega korika teerega'. He went to Mio Opticals in Mount Road, Madras and unlike round frames during those days, selected cooling glasses suitable to his face for the song.

The film turned out to be super hit and Anr's cooling glasses became a rage with everyone competing to buy them and make a fashion statement. The film was played for record number of days in Pallavaram, Madras and during that time record 5000 spectacles from Mio Opticals were sold.

The shop owners thanked and felicitated Anr and even Anr got flooded with roles from Social entertainers.
