Allu Aravind to remake Arundhati in Bollywood. Movie lovers cannot forget Arundhati which featured Anushka in the lead role. The film created a sensation with Anushka Shetty coming up with stunning performance and Sonu Sood showing his menace on the big screen.

A source shares “Allu Aravind is one of the producers backing this spooky thriller, which will be a full-blown horror spectacle. Young sensation Sreeleela has been roped in to reprise the iconic role played by Anushka Shetty in the original.”

Mohan Raja who helmed Chiranjeevi's God Father will be directing the remake. The remake will have numerous changes in the script. A source shares “The film is expected to go on floors in January 2026, with Sreeleela dedicating bulk dates to her big Bollywood film.”

Arundhati created a sensation in 2009. The source reveals “Anushka’s performance was larger than life and redefined the portrayal of female leads in Telugu cinema.”
