Ayushmann Khurrana's latest film, Thamma crossed the ₹100 crore mark at the box office in only eight days. This horror comedy, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and starring Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, opened strong on Diwali with ₹24 crore and has already become the 11th highest grossing Hindi film of 2025. Now, it's eyeing a spot in this year's top 10 by chasing down Salman Khan's Sikandar.

Thamma's success is a big deal for Khurrana, following his previous hit Dream Girl 2. The film's box office collection is ₹101.1 crore in the domestic market, with ₹5.5 crore collected on Day 8. Thamma is the fifth film in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU), after Stree, Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya.

Despite its success, Thamma isn't out of the woods yet, it needs to hit at least ₹150 crore to cover its hefty ₹145 crore budget. With no big new Hindi releases coming up but a Baahubali re release on the horizon, its box office run could get tricky. The film's worldwide earnings are ₹140 crore, and it's beating Munjya's lifetime collection.

Thamma's story follows Ayushmann's character, who turns into a vampire and falls for Rashmika's character, setting the stage for a "bloody love story" with plenty of twists. The film features an ensemble cast, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Paresh Rawal, and Varun Dhawan in key roles.
