Campaigning picks up in Telangana

Campaigning for the forthcoming by-elections in the Telangana region has picked up momentum with top leaders of Telangana Rashtra Samiti stepping up efforts to woo the voters. 

The electioneering gathered momentum with Trs president K Chandrasekhara Rao addressing a huge pubic meeting in favour of Eetela Rajender filing who filed his nomination from Huzurabad in Karimnagar district on Friday last.

 With just 12 days left for the campaigning, the Trs is going all out to woo the voters in the Telangana region. Already the Telangana  Joint Action Committee is out in the rural areas carrying on a door-to-door campaign. The fringe parties like the Telangana Jagruti are also joining the fray in support of Trs.

 Trs star campaigners KCR and cine actor Vijay Santi will cris-cross Telangana region to conduct road shows and public meetings. Separate statehood to Telangana region is the main issue of the Trs campaign.

 On the other hand Congress will go to the voters on the basis of welfare schemes and  the assurance of getting  a separate statehood for Telangana  through the Srikrishna panel.

 Telugu Desam the other biggest rival  in the triangular contest goes to  the voters  promising a  clean Government and exposing the corrupt  practices of  the  Congress Government  and the vain promises made byTrs in achieving Telangana.
