As the curfew has not been relaxed for Friday prayers, the police have made elaborate arrangement to issue 30,000 passes for people in the curfew-bound areas in the Old City.

According to sources, the police have already issued passes for 20,000 people in the curfew-bound areas.

As people throng Assistant Commissioner of Police office to get the curfew passes, the police have printed 30,000 more passes for people.

The passes were mandatory for people to get essential commodities and avail of medical services in the curfew-bound areas.

Police asked the people to get curfew passes by showing their residential or identity proof at the office of the Assistant Commissioner of Police or contact toll free number 1090 for any assistance.

However, people complained that there were facing lot of hardship as police made mandatory the curfew passes in the Old City.
