TRS will develop Telangana State: Etela

Telangana Rashtra Samithi floor leader Etela Rajender on Thursday said that his party would strive hard for the development of Telangana.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here, Etela said that the Centre's nod for bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in order to create Telangana State was the result of continued struggled and several sacrifices made by the people of Telangana under the leadership of TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao. He said that the TRS leaders never aspired for any positions and its leaders even quit ministers' post for the sake of Telangana.

Referring to a recent survey done by a media group predicting 13 Lok Sabha seats for the TRS in next elections, he said that the report indicates that people's confidence on his party has increased considerably. Therefore, the TRS would work hard to ensure development of Telangana and resolve the problems being faced by its people. The movement seeking statehood for Telangana was initiated by KCR following injustice and non-development of the region. After the formation of Telangana State, the TRS would continue its struggle for its re-formation and development, he said.

The TRS leader also alleged that Telangana region remained ignored in the nine years' rule of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. He asked the leaders from Telangana region to come out of TDP.
