Bethlehem Kudumba Unit Enters RS 100 Crore Club

Nivin Pauly’s Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has achieved a major box office milestone by crossing ₹100 crore in worldwide gross collections within just six days. The Malayalam film has reportedly become the joint third fastest Mollywood release to reach the ₹100 crore mark, matching the pace of Mohan Lal starrer Thudarum.

According to reported trade figures, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has earned more than ₹44 crore from India and over ₹56 crore from overseas markets in its first six days. Strong performances in the Gulf, UK and North America have played an important role, while the Onam holiday season has helped the film maintain impressive domestic occupancy.

The film recorded reported India net collections of around ₹4.90 crore on Friday, ₹7.15 crore on Saturday and ₹8.80 crore on Sunday. It remained strong on Monday with ₹6.90 crore before benefiting from the Onam holiday on Tuesday, when collections reportedly rose to around ₹7.90 crore. Wednesday collections helped push the worldwide total beyond ₹100 crore.

Directed by Girish A.D., Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has emerged as one of the major successes of the Onam season, with strong word of mouth supporting its theatrical run. The film has also reportedly recovered its production cost within its first week. A Telugu dubbed version, titled Bethlehem Kutumba Unit, to release on 4th September, potentially expanding its audience further.
