Sandeep Vanga Calls Varanasi Much Bigger Than Spirit

Sandeep Reddy Vanga has sparked discussion with his latest comments about two of the most awaited Indian films, Spirit and Varanasi. Speaking at the trailer launch of Romanchakam, the director said the 37 day gap between the two releases is enough and confidently described Varanasi as the bigger project in terms of scale and ambition.

The discussion began when a reporter questioned whether the short gap between the films would create difficulties, considering the expectations surrounding both projects. Vanga responded humorously, suggesting that the question sounded like an attempt to delay Spirit for Varanasi. His lighthearted response created laughter at the event while also highlighting the confidence surrounding both productions.

Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Prabhas, is currently scheduled to release in March 2027. The film marks the first collaboration between the actor and director and has generated considerable interest because of Vanga’s previous successes, including Arjun Reddy and Animal. The project is expected to be a major action entertainer.

Meanwhile, Varanasi brings together Mahesh Babu and filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli in one of the most ambitious Indian cinema projects currently in production. The film is planned for an April 2027 release and is expected to feature a large scale adventure involving time travel and international locations. Vanga’s comments indicate that he has confidence in Spirit and believes the two films can arrive close together without affecting their impact.
