TCC asks leaders to boycott Formation Day celebrations

The Telangana Coordination Committee on Tuesday asked the elected representatives from the region to boycott the Andhra Pradesh Formation Day celebrations on November 1.

Addressing a press conference at Press Club, Somajiguda, TCC chairman Prof A Gopala Krishan said that all the Ministers, MPs, MLAs and other leaders in the region should not only boycott the Formation Day celebrations themselves, but should also ensure that no celebration is held in their constituencies. Appealing the people to observe November 1 as "Telangana Betrayal Day", he asked them to wear black badges and hoist black flags to register their protest for delay in formation of Telangana State.

TCC General Secretary G Vivek and Secretary Hamid Mohammad Khan were also present in the press conference.
