Newly elected MLAs meet Jagan at Chanchalguda Jail

The newly elected 15 Ysr Congress Party MLAs on Saturday met their party president Jagan Mohan Reddy at Chanchalguda Central Jail and saluted to his leadership.

Later, the MLAs told reporters that people supported the leadership of Jaganmohan Reddy as they wanted to bring back the golden rule of Rajanna (YS Rajasekhara Reddy). They demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy submit his resignation from his post owning moral responsibility for his failure in the by-elections.

MLA Karunakar Reddy said that the MLAs were proud to work under Jaganmohan Reddy and they would continue their fight against the government on people’s problems. He said that they would follow Jagan's guidelines in letter and spirit and strengthen the party to face the general elections in 2014.

The MLAs expressed confidence that Jagan would come out clean from all the charges of CBI and become Chief Minister of the State after 2014 elections.

Earlier, the MLAs and Nellore MP Mekapati Raja Mohan Reddy met YSR Congress honorary president Y S Vijayamma at party office in Lotus Pond and dedicated the victory in the by-elections to Jaganmohan Reddy. They also garlanded the statue of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and paid rich tributes to him.

Rayachoti MLA Srikanth Reddy described the victory of YSR Congress as people’s victory and said that the people want change from the ruling Congress party.

Though the ruling Congress and opposition Telugu Desam Party conspired to defeat the YSR Congress, he said that the people have taught a fitting lesson to both of them in the by-elections and supported Jagan's leadership. He said that 40 MLAs from Congress and 10 MLAs from TDP were ready to desert their parties and planning to join Ysr Congress Party for a better political career.

The MLAs met Jagan include Ramakrishna Reddy, Chenna Kesava Reddy, Gurnath Reddy, Srikanth reddy, Sucharitha, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, Amarnath reddy and Ramachandra Reddy.
