Telugu Desam Rajya Sabha member T Devender Goud on Saturday called upon the electorate to vote in favour of Telugu Desam Party as the YSR Congress party has no agenda or principles.

Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, Devender Goud described Congress and YSR Congress party as two sides of the same coin and differences between them emerged due to greed for power. He alleged that former Karnataka minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy looted the State by misusing the official position of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Even Congress in-charge of state affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad made efforts to cover up the misdeeds of YSR, he said. Though the Tdp took up the issue of corruption of YSR to the Centre, no one responded positively, he said adding that the same leaders were raising hue and cry over the issue.  He called upon the voters to shun voting for those who looted the State and reject them in the ensuing by-elections.

Goud said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has no moral right to seek votes from the people as he has totally failed to address people’s problems in the State. He accused Kiran Kumar Reddy of cheating the people on the implementation of government's welfare schemes and programmes by claiming tall claims and diverting the attention of the people. He said that the Congress has no moral right to speak against the Tdp and asked the voters to vote for Tdp.
