AICC secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Thursday came down heavily on Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for criticizing Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Telangana issue.

Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party office, Ponguleti raised serious objection over KCR describing Sonia Gandhi as 'devil' and sought his unconditional apology from him. Advising KCR to have control on his words, he warned him of serious consequences if he did not stop using 'vulgar' language. Stating that the formation of separate State was delayed mainly due to the attitude of KCR, he accused him of misusing the agitation for his selfish gains and to strengthen his family.

Ponguleti also condemned KCR for calling people of the region to grill elected representatives on the Telangana statehood issue. Stating that Congress party was committed for the formation of Telangana State, he said that the government would resolve the issue soon.
