Naidu denies meeting Chidambaram over T-issue

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday clarified that he had never met Union Home Minister P Chidambaram over the Telangana state issue.

Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, TDP leader L Ramana stated that Naidu, who returned from by-election campaign, stated that he had never met Chidambaram over the bifurcation of State issue. He said that Naidu opined that Chidambaram made these comments to divert the attention of people.

Stating that TDP has already made its party's stand clear on the Telangana State, Ramana stated that Naidu had written a letter to Pranab Mukherjee, chairman of Cabinet Sub-Committee on Telangana, long ago.

It may be mentioned that Union Home Minister P Chidambaram reportedly stated in the Budget session of Lok Sabha that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu met him over Telangana State issue.
