Chakkora -The Lunar Bird(2026) Movie: Story Review

Chakkora The Lunar Love Bird story revolves around a youngster who goes to any extent for the girl he gets attracted to and how he deals with the happenings in his life thereafter.

Ravana ( Sravan) gets attracted and goes all out to win the heart of the beautiful girl Jabili aka Julie ( Malaika Vasupal). When everything goes on a happy tone, he has a surprise in store.

What is that surprise, what roles Ravana's parents Jayaram (Brahmaji), Janaki (Indraja), grandfather (LB.Sriram), his friend Rajababu(Sudarshan), Julie 's father Peter (Suman), Kaumidi( Anushka Luhar) form the interesting part.

Chakkora -The Lunar Bird(2026) Movie: Artists Review

Sravan came up with an impressive performance. He showed variations in his expressions and emotions according to the situation. He showed his skills in stunts and dances. He delivered dialogues accordingly. Little fine-tuning will take him to the next level.

Malaika Vasupal is ok in her looks and performed well complementing the protagonist in a perfect manner. Both of them with their performances helped the story to move forward.

Brahmaji and Indraja as the parents of the protagonist did justice while Suman and Manichandana did the same in the role of the female lead's parents. Sudarshan evoked few laughs while Anushka Luhar and LB.Sriram got limited roles.

Chakkora -The Lunar Bird(2026) Movie: Technicians Review

Chakkora The Lunar Love Bird story is written by Manga Srinivas. He starts the narration in a typical but interesting manner. He then tries to show the hero trying to win the heart of the girl with his antics and they turn routine. Though the story has predictable elements, he tries to generate interest with the screenplay.

To some extent, he succeeded. The second half Jitender drags it to the core, with the hero searching endlessly before the twist, which is routine, is revealed. Finally, the film concludes with a message that it is not the end of the road with love failure and breakup, and one can move forward, savoring the memorable moments.

Manga Srinivas did a decent job with the story, screenplay, and direction. The songs tuned by Prince Henry are foot-tapping and melodious. They are shot well on screen and added value to the narration. His background music elevated the scenes, taking viewers into the story.

The cinematography is taken care of by Ruppa Gopikrishna and captured the scenic locations aptly, giving a realistic feel to the scenes. Dialogues are fine and according to the situation. Production values are decent.

Altogether, Chakkora The Lunar Love Bird turns out to be a decent entertainer with predictability. While the first half has some moments, the second half turns routine with preachy and repetitive elements that impact the flow of the narration. A little fine-tuning of the script would have added value to the final outcome. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 rating for Chakkora The Lunar Love Bird.
