YSRC accuses Naidu of degenerating political values

The Ysr Congress Party on Monday came down heavily on TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu for degenerating political values by using sacrilegious language and demining the democratic process by bringing in caste and creed into the orbit of electoral campaign.

“Using words like demons and devils besides bringing in caste and religious issues and branding YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as a villain does not serve the purpose as the heinous past keeps haunting N Chandrababu Naidu,” YSRC party spokesperson Vasireddy Pama told reporters here.

By repeatedly using the phrase Jagan’s illegal assets case, Chandrababu Naidu is trying to bring a new colour to the case that pertains to the controversial 26 GOs case, she said adding that the barrage of foul words in describing the YSRC as a party filled with people with criminal antecedents shows the level to which the Naidu can stoop as TDP polling percentage is dwindling with every passing election.

Padma said that Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to speak on corruption and land allotments as the land for NTR Trust Bhavan was given by the Government when he was the Chief  Minister and also president of TDP.

When it comes to the projection of 26 GOs case as Jagan’s illegal assets case, it was Ramoji Rao, who was declared by the Land Tribunal that he was holding surplus land and that case deserves to be called as Ramoji’s illegal assets case, she said.

The TDP campaign, she said, is moving around saying that YSRC will not get deposits, but what happened in the Kadapa and Pulivendula stand as an indicator to the things in store for Chandrababu Naidu. Of the 18 assembly and one Lok Sabha by-polls, 16 assembly and Nellore Lok Sabha seats belong to Congress and two seats are of PRP. "It remains to be seen as to who is scared of the by-polls and who loses the deposits," she said.

Padma said that the past of Chandrababu Naidu continues to haunt him as he has scraped the welfare schemes of NTR, and ill-treated farmers and never bothered about the common man but was always in the company of corporate giants in India and abroad which hurt the pride of State voters who turned him down on two occasions and have no reason as to why they should reverse their decision now.

“While the TDP leader and Ramoji Rao had raised a huge hue and cry on land allotment to YS Jagan’s cement factory, they failed to turn up for the open auction taken up by the government," she said.

TDP allocated prime land at throw-away prices to its associates, while YSR had given barren land to industries above the government price, she said adding that YSRC will win all the seats in the June 12 by-elections.
