Alleging that the Telugu Desam Party leaders are violating party principles, NT Rama Rao’s widow Lakshmi Parvathi on Friday stated that TDP has no moral right to use its party founder’s photo or portrait in the party programmes and election campaigns.

Talking to media persons, she took serious objection on the usage of NTR’s photo by party workers who she alleged were not following the ideals set by him for the party.

Ms Parvathi stated that she was contemplating to file a petition in the High Court seeking a ban on the ‘misuse’ of NTR’s photo in the TDP’s campaigns and functions. She added that she would seek the opinions from legal experts’ opinion in this connection and then go ahead with the filing of a petition soon.

Ms Parvathi stated that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to use NTR photo since he had backstabbed NTR.

She said she has joined YSR Congress Party launched by former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy as he promised to follow all YSR and NTR principles and welfare schemes.
