It was truly a close shave for the 35 passengers, including four MPs from the state when the Plane they had embarked on to reach Hyderabad was forced to turn back in midair and land in New Delhi after a crack on the front windshield was noticed.

According to reports coming in, the pilot of the Plane belonging to Kingfisher Airlines radioed the ATC and asked permission to turn back after noticing the crack. The Plane had taken off 40 minutes earlier, and was carrying about 35 passengers, including four MPs.

The ATC told the pilot to turn back and the Plane landed safely in New Delhi.

According to sources, the MPs on board the aircraft have been identified as Lagadapati Rajagopal and Rayapati Sambhashiva Rao from Seemandhra, Anjan Kumar Yadav and Asaduddin Owaisi from Telangana. Noted singer Ghazal Srinivas is also believed to be among the passengers.

Three of the MPs were in New Delhi to attend a meeting with Congress In-Charge of Andhra Pradesh Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad to find a solution over the division of statehood issue.

Later, Kingfisher Airlines arranged a special Plane to shift the stranded passengers to Hyderabad.
