Reiterating that the Srikrishna Committee would submit its report before December-end, Member Secretary VK Duggal said the Commission members were busy with the process of compiling data as the consultations process was over.

Talking to media persons after the completion of Committee members meeting at Vignan Bhavan in New Delhi, Mr Duggal said there was no need for Committee members to visit Hyderabad at this stage as the consultations process was over.

He said the members are busy in compiling data and would submit their Report to Centre by December 30 or 31.

“The compiling of data is delayed by 15 days. However, the Committee will submit report by December-end to the Centre,” he stated.

The Committee met 2,000 people and covered 35 villages to elicit views on situation in the state, Mr Duggal said, adding the committee will look into all angles and respect the sentiments of all people before submitting its views on situation in the state to Centre.

The Home Minister and Centre has to take a final decision on the report, the Member-Secretary said.
