Hyderabad, Jan 13:  Junior Ntr starrer film Adurs was released in several theatres on Wednesday morning under the watchful eyes of the police at several places in the state.Adequate security measures were taken by the police to ensure that there were no untoward incidents in the wake of threats from the Telangana Jagruthi activists against exhibition of films made by Samaikhyanadhra leaders or their suporters.

Daughter of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao and president of Telangana Jana Jagruthi Ms Kavitha earlier threatened to block the screening of films made by Integrated Andhra Pradesh activists or their supporters in the Telangana region. This was the reason for the increased security beef up at all cinema theatres in Telangana districts during the Sankranthi releases of films.A group of Telangana supporters in the morning staged a rasta-roko and dharna in front of Odeon Theatre at Chikkadapally in the city opposing the screening of the film at the theatre.
