Choreographer turned Actor turned Director Prabhu Deva is no more a simple man. He scored a major blockbuster ‘Rowdy Rathore’ which is set to cross Rs.100 Crore mark. Perhaps, his past hit of ‘Wanted’ was also a remake of Southern Hit ‘Pokiri’ and Prabhu is now an established director readily accepting the title of ‘King of Remakes.’ In fact ‘RR’ is just produced on a budget of Rs.40 Crores is running into profits from just 6th day after release.

However, problem is from critics point of view who never respect remakes which lack somewhere in originality. That was the reason why, ratings for ‘RR’were divided in media. When Prabhu is asked on how he could accept this criticism, here is his reply.

‘A film needs to be entertaining and should bring profits to Producer. My ‘RR’ is serving the needs of mass audience who love heroism and spice. Surely, I am a man of commercial instincts which one can see in the film. I respect critics. This does not mean I should abide by their principles in making my movies. I don’t mind whether script was original or borrowed, what one needs is a success film and I’ve done it.’ A simple answer and a super hit.
