Thammudu To Stream On Netflix During This Period

Nithiin's latest film, Thammudu, has hit theaters and received mixed reviews. The movie, directed by Venu Sriram, is a family-based survival drama that explores the bond between a brother and his sister. Thammudu features a talented cast, including Kantara fame Sapthami Gowda as the female lead and Laya in a significant role, marking her return to Telugu cinema.

Thammudu is expected to have an early OTT release on Netflix, likely within four to six weeks after its theatrical premiere. Reports suggest that the film might be available for streaming as early as August 4, but an official date has yet to be announced. Unfortunately, the film's box office performance has been underwhelming, with a slow start and mixed reviews from audiences and critics alike.

The film's cast, including Sapthami Gowda and Saurabh Sachdeva, delivered impressive performances, but the movie's overall reception has been disappointing. Despite this, the makers have managed to recover a significant portion of the budget through OTT rights. Thammudu was made on a budget of around ₹70 crore as per producer Dil Raju and stars Nithiin, Sapthami Gowda, Varsha Bollamma and Laya in pivotal roles.

With its emotional storyline and strong performances, Thammudu might find a new life on OTT platforms. Netflix has acquired the digital rights for the film, and it's expected to premiere in the last week of July or early August. Nithiin who has been waiting for a solid hit gears up for his next film, Yellamma, which could potentially mark his comeback.
