Distributors, Exhibitors forgetting their strength. It seems the Distributors and exhibitors are forgetting their strength and failing to use their powerful weapon and silently suffering the losses. It is known that exhibitors are planning to go on strike shutting down theatres from 1 June and following this Dil Raju, chairman of the Telangana State Film Development Corporation is meeting them to resolve the issue.

The reason why Distributors are asking high advances from the theatres is because the producers are selling the rights for huge amounts. They are even going for hike in ticket rates and this is preventing people from coming to theatres. Producers are spending huge amounts as directors and heroes have increased their remunerations exorbitantly.

Midrange directors are demanding Rs 10-15crs and star heroes are demanding whopping amounts. Even though they are reeling under flops, they are demaning Rs 10-15crs easily and those who are on success run are commanding more than Rs 50crs. But people should know the real market of the directors and heroes.

Heroes who are getting Rs 10crs are remuneration should be ashamed if the film donot get even Rs4lakhs collection in one region. However, PR teams and social media influencers are promoting the film as hit and coming up with fake collections and success meets.

Producers are obliged to do so because they need heroes dates but Distributors have no such obligation. If they take a strong decision and put the collections board in front of the theatres, everyone will get exposed. Producers cannot threaten the exhibitors and Distributors.

This will force the heroes to slash their remunerations as their films did not get the minimum openings on the first day and this will also result in the decrease in cost of production. But the question is who will take that daring decision.
