A mother symbolizes nurture, affection, and unconditional love. Highlighting the invaluable role of a mother, the meaningful short film ‘Amma’ is set for release. Presented by AAR Film Makers in collaboration with Natya Margam banner, this short film is scheduled to be released on May 11, marking the occasion of Mother’s Day.
Renowned dancer and actress Indrani Davaluri will be seen portraying the role of a loving mother in ‘Amma’. Before the release of her feature film ‘Andela Ravamidi’, in which she played the lead role, Indrani had already won several prestigious awards. Now, she plays the lead again in ‘Amma’. Speaking about the upcoming release, Indrani said, "A mother is a selfless embodiment of love who never asks for anything. Our short film ‘Amma’ portrays the story of such a devoted mother."
Director Harish Bannai, who has also written the story, screenplay, and dialogues, said, "When we face hardships, it is our mother who sheds tears for us. How much pain does she endure when she sees us suffer? Like a candle that melts to light our way, how can we ever repay a mother's sacrifices? This is the theme of our short film."
The cast of ‘Amma’ includes Indrani Davaluri, Sambi, Sudha Kondapu, and Reena Bommasani among others. Music is composed by K.V. Bharadwaj, and cinematography is handled by Karthik Kalluri.
