In a ghastly incident, a Hyderabad man identified as Racharla Pavan Kumar was burnt alive by his in-laws over suspicion of black magic. Going into the details, Pavan hailing from Alwal, worked as a software engineer.  He along with his wife Krishnaveni went to Balvanthapur to pay condolences to his brother-in-law Jagan who passed away from ailment.

As soon as Pavan reached, he was attacked by Jagan’s wife Sumalatha. Reportedly, she doused him with petrol and lit on fire accusing him of killing Jagan using black magic. Meanwhile, Krishnaveni has said, "She kept accusing my husband and me everyday of killing my brother. My husband came here even though I asked him not to go as they were angry at him. As he went to garland my brother's photo, my brother's wife poured petrol on him and set him ablaze."

Police have registered a case against Sumalatha and other persons based on the complaint given by Krishnaveni. The matter is under probe now.
