Joint Commissioner of Labour, Ranga Reddy Zone, based on the complaint directed the production team to appear for an inquiry on November 4 at 11 AM at Anjaiah Karmika Samkshema Bhavan in RTC X Roads.They asked wether the makers got the legal permission from the District Magistrate and secured parental consent before involving the girl in the shoot and also details about the percent of the payment made to the minor was deposited into a fixed deposit account in her name, as required under the relevant provisions. Summer Holidays is set for a grand theatrical release on November 6.In a recent interview, producer Dheeraj Mogilineni shared several interesting insights about the film and its highlights.- When I first heard this story, it deeply touched my heart and reminded me of my real-life experiences and childhood memories. The dialogues delivered by Jayasudha garu, who plays the grandmother, reminded me of the way my own grandmother used to speak. Similarly, the words spoken by Vasuki garu felt exactly like the way my mother used to talk to me. I believed audiences would experience the same emotional connection. We could have changed the children's characters into teenagers and added a love story to make the film more commercial. But that would have taken away the innocence of childhood. The sensitivity and innocence of these characters are the soul of this story.- We often see films that break existing trends and create new ones. After films like Pelli Choopulu, people felt that the trend of romantic comedies had faded. Later, Premalu arrived as a dubbed Telugu film and received a wonderful response, followed by Little Hearts. Similarly, we believe Summer Holidays can inspire filmmakers to explore children's stories once again. We hope that after watching our film, more filmmakers will come forward to make such movies. Jayasudha garu, who plays the grandmother, was supposed to attend our recent trailer launch. She will be joining us at our next event.- I am making every effort to take the story I believe in strongly to audiences. We initially wanted to release the film during the summer season, but that did not work out. Now that the release has been finalised, we felt the Diwali festive season would be an appropriate time. We were initially concerned that films scheduled for October 30 might get postponed to November 6, but fortunately, that has not happened. We can say that our film has almost secured a solo release. I also feel the government should consider offering certain incentives to films that make special attempts, small films made by new producers and locally produced content. Theatre revenues have declined, and OTT platforms are largely acquiring big films. In such circumstances, government support would be very helpful for small films.- We are getting good theatres for our November 6 release, and the number of screens could increase further once the film receives positive word of mouth. Our film does not carry a specific message; instead, it is driven by beautiful emotions. It captures the emotional experiences of children who spend two months of their summer vacation at their grandmother's home before returning to their routines. The bond they share with their grandmother and village friends, the friendship between Arun and Rohan's characters, and the emotional scenes between a father and son are some of the heartwarming elements. As a producer, I am not looking for awards. I simply want audiences to come to theatres and make our film a success.- I strongly believe that if Summer Holidays works well, it will encourage the industry to produce more films of this kind. When I produced The Girlfriend, I knew it was not a film meant for every section of the audience, but I was confident that a particular segment would connect with it. There is always an audience for different kinds of cinema. Someone has to take the first step to inspire others. Even when I make bigger films in the future, I will remember that I produced a special film like Summer Holidays a decade earlier. That is how special this project is to me. I found the same innocence and honesty in our director that are reflected in Rohan and Arun's characters. Nothing in the story feels artificially introduced. The performances, movements and visuals have all been handled with great naturalness.- During the first six months of this year, not many films arrived in theatres. Now, films are releasing one after another like a flood. There are continuous teaser launches, trailer releases and song launches, leaving very little breathing space for audiences to register each film. If producers had planned their releases well in advance, we could have avoided such a crowded second half of the year.- Currently, we are producing a film titled “Antha Ramuloru Chooskuntaru” starring Sangeeth Shobhan and Anaswara. Nearly 80 percent of the shoot has been completed. We initially planned a December release, but considering the current release scenario, we have shifted it to February. After that, we are planning to collaborate with Nanda Kishore, director of 35, for another film, followed by a project with Kaushik, director of Kishkindhapuri. Both projects are expected to go on floors after Sankranthi.

He tried to excite all with the crime thriller. The first four episodes progress in a interesting and exciting manner. He designed the character of Naresh Agasthya. The happenings involving the character of Anji is good. But these things could have been shown in the more impactful manner.Sasidhar Munnangi the loses plot in the last three episodes diluting the intensity levels. Had these scenes designed in &nbsp;an interesting manner, things would have been different. The more subplots as the investigation progresses resulted in the decrease of interest leves as it resulted in confusion all over. It turned out to be a mixed bag with few scenes getting dragged unnecessarily and some scenes ending rather abruptly.Many murder mysteries came with such plot and very few of them are engaging. Rudravanam PS also fails to engage. The first four episodes though interesting are dragged showing the restlessness in the police force and the story do not head anywhere. The entire story is narrated in the last two episodes and the &nbsp;motive of the culprit is shown in the last episode and this is little interesting. However, even that pales due to the weak motive.Ashkar Ali with his cinematography showed the rural village atmosphere in the natural and realistic manner. However Madhav's editing should have been &nbsp;more sharper as there are many scenes that slowed the pace of the narration. The background music of Saluri Vasu Rao is good and added value to the narration. While he made an impactful start with the first four episodes showing the investigating episodes in an exciting and interesting manner, the last three episodes except for the climax goes for a toss. For all his efforts, though the characterisation of Naresh Agasthya's role appeals, everything goes missing. The story lacked the emotional connect with things passing through the motions and screenplay turning spineless and stale without offering nothing much to excite. Little finetuning of the script and racy screenplay and powerful emotions would have added more punch to the story. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Rudravanam PS.

The society follows its own traditions, with women holding power and men having a limited role in the kingdom's affairs. Bhavani (Keerthy Suresh) is the powerful matriarch who controls the kingdom and tries to protect its traditions and authority.However, her world gets disturbed when Rudra (Radhika Apte), an outsider with a personal vendetta, enters Pernuru with plans to take control. What follows is a violent battle involving power, revenge, betrayals and family rivalries. How Bhavani handles the threat and what happens to the kingdom form the rest of the story.Akka Web Series: PerformancesKeerthy Suresh gets a strong character in Bhavani, but the writing does not give her enough emotional depth to make the role memorable. She manages to bring some authority to the character, although the overall impact remains limited.Radhika Apte gets an interesting role as Rudra, but her characterisation and dialogue delivery do not create the desired impact. Tanvi Azmi and Monika Panwar have their moments, while Mahesh Manjrekar, Anshuman Pushkar, Vishak Nair and the rest of the supporting cast have limited scope to make an impression.Akka Web Series: AnalysisAkka starts with an interesting premise. A fictional kingdom controlled by women, where power struggles and gangster politics take centre stage, offers plenty of scope for an engaging period crime drama. The conflict between Bhavani and Rudra also provides an interesting foundation.Unfortunately, the writing fails to make proper use of this idea. The series spends considerable time establishing its fictional world, traditions and characters, but struggles to create emotional involvement. Despite several betrayals, violent confrontations and power games, the proceedings rarely become engaging.The biggest problem is the lack of strong characterisation. Both Bhavani and Rudra are introduced as powerful women, but their motivations and emotional journeys are not explored effectively. Several subplots occupy considerable screen time without adding much value to the central conflict.The series also relies heavily on violence and grand visuals to create an impression. However, the action sequences lack the impact required to elevate the drama. Even when the narrative reaches important turning points, the emotional connect remains weak.Akka Web Series: Technical AspectsThe production design, costumes and locations give the series a lavish appearance. He tried to thrill viewers with spy thriller with sci fi elements. He started the narration in an &nbsp;interesting way but quickly loses plot even before the interest is built. He tried to come up with numerous questions and with different screenplay and taking, use of various technological jargons, he decided to provided the answers.While he generated interest with some of the scenes, the investigation scenes irritates viewers with the overaction of the cast and the repetitive scenes. The end of the first half sets the stage for the second half. Couple of twists in the second half turnout to be ok but many scenes in the second half turned repetitive and routine. There are many illogical scenes and also the climax scenes looks out of snyc.Ashirvad &amp; Suman Jeeva's background score followed the same template. While in the beginning it is good and makes an impact, later it turned out to be typical and routine. Jagadeesh Bommisetti's cinematography is of good standards. He showed the scenes in a decent and appealing way. The VFX and CGI are decent. Editing of Poorvaj could have been far better especially in the second half. Most of the time, the narration is high on action and violence sequences and due to this the story and screenplay went for a toss. The entire first half is loaded with predictable elements and the story picks up pace only after the entry of Vishwak Sen &nbsp;and the games in the party. The interval bang sets the stage for the second half.The second half is racy with the unraveling of the mystery and blended with action elements. But &nbsp;the flashback turns routine and climax lacks the thrill. The film ends with the lead to the sequel. The story resembles that of Squid Games and though it is new to the Telugu movie lovers on the big screen, those who watches similar films in OTTs find nothing exciting.The background music of Ravi Basrur elevated many scenes. Little finetuning of the script and racy screenplay, doing away with predictable first half and other scenes, things would have been different. The first half then moves forward with a mix of comedy and family situations. Though the proceedings are somewhat predictable, Trivikram's dialogues and Venkatesh's performance keep the momentum going.The interval sequence comes with a surprise and creates some interest for the second half. However, the sequence also reminds us of the Tamil film Blast.The second half is where the film loses some of its freshness. The proceedings become predictable and repetitive, with the story largely focusing on how the family tries to save themselves from the criminals. The college happenings &nbsp;are shown in a natural way though it did not add much value to the proceedings.The screenplay turns racy once the protagonist experiences the scary happenings. The interval bang is well placed and sets the tone for the second half.The second half leads to unraveling of the mystery with the flashback episodes. This is totally away from his usual urban lover boy image. He has worked hard on his body language as a drunk, careless youth in early scenes and as a ferocious warrior in action blocks. Initially it seems his Rayalaseema dialect and histrionics seem forced but gets better as the movie progresses. In many scenes, his eyes and expressions do more talking than dialogues. Interval bang and climax are where he truly shines. You can feel the anger, helplessness and pain of a leader in him.Rashmika as Jayamma is lovely but her screen time is limited. In the first half, her scenes with Vijay are heartwarming, they give you that light feel in such a heavy film. She brings grace and emotion, and it's good to see she in a role which has very good importance to the story proceedings. But she suddenly disappear and only appears during the later hour in second half and brings emotional anchor.Lal as Bhadramallanna appears in just 2-3 scenes but makes an impact. Mummy fame Arnold Vosloo as brutal commissioner did menacing act. Rahul takes his time to create the world of 1858 Rayalaseema - the Palegaadu system, the British torture, Ranabaali's personal life. Even it is a bit slow here and there, but the Vijay - Rashmika track and period detailing keep us hooked. Interval gives a good high. Second half starts on a powerful note but soon becomes too heavy. The film keeps showing back to back suffering, battles and grief. After a point, it feel choked. We can feel the suffering more than the heroism, because the heroic payoffs don't elevate mainly due to lack of pulsating BGM. With a runtime of almost 2 hours 58 minutes, it feels stretched.Technically, the film is rich. Cinematography by Jishnu Bhattacharjee, and Nirav Shah is one of the biggest assets, it beautifully captures the dry lands, forts and villages of 19th century Rayalaseema. Production design needs a special mention. Except for a few hill portions, you won't feel it's a set, it looks like a real location. Costumes and art department have done a great job. Where the film slips badly is music. Except for Melody song between Vijay and Rashmika, no other song registers. For a film of this scale, it is expected a thundering BGM to lift those elevation scenes. But the score by Ajay - Atul duo lacks that power. That's why even well shot heroic moments and heavy emotional scenes don't give you goosebumps. If those painful scenes had ended with a strong high, the impact would have been much better. Also when they announced Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah, and Mithun Chakraborty as the Kalpauk family, the buzz intensifies. Jailer 2 hit the theatres on October 15. Did Nelson pull it off ? Let's see in a detailed review..Jailer 2 (2026) Movie: Story ReviewJailer 2 continues right from where Jailer ended. Tiger Muthuvel Pandian's family is still dealing with the loss of his son Arjun. But Tiger Muthuvel Pandian cleaning up Varma's idol smuggling gang has further leads into more antagonists. Dileep (Suraj Venjaramoodu), &nbsp;a close aide of Varma is hunting for the man who killed Varma. Meanwhile Muthuvel uses Moorthy (Namo Narayana) and his gang to reach Dileep. Then while Dileep is searching for Varma's killer, all roads lead to Muthuvel. That's when the real game starts. The new threat is not a single man, but a whole family syndicate, The Kalpauks, Father Kalpak (Mithun Chakraborty), Bodhi (SJ Suryah) and Kantha (Vidya Balan). How, Muthuvel deals with them follows the entire second half and offcourse gives a lead to Third Installment too.Jailer 2 (2026 Movie): Artists ReviewThis film belongs to Rajinikanth. He is the soul of Jailer 2. But, in Jailer 1, we saw Muthuvel as a normal, retired, soft spoken jailer and that innocence made his mass transformation organic and emotional. In Jailer 2, he is a powerful force from frame one. That surprise factor is missing. Still, his swag is untouched, his comic timing is spot on and when he walks in slow motion with Anirudh's BGM, theatres still erupt. Those elevation scenes are pure goosebumps.The real surprise is Suraj Venjaramoodu. Honestly, he looks more menacing and serious in the first half than the actual main villains in the second half. He holds the entire first half on his shoulders. His track with Namo Narayana is hilarious and also builds tension.Now coming to the biggest disappointment, the Kalpauk family. SJ Suryah as Bodhi tries his best and gets a couple of good face offs with Rajini, but his character quickly becomes loud and repetitive. Vidya Balan as Kantha gets very less screen time and her villainy barely registers except for a couple of laughs due to her 'message' chemistry with Rajini. Mithun Chakraborty is completely underwhelming. To be frank, none of them come even close to what Vinayakan did as Varma in the first part. That raw, unpredictable madness is totally missing.Namo Narayana as Moorthy is a laugh riot. Probably his best role till date. Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa and Yogi Babu are just okay, they don't have much to do. And we have to talk about the special number. Remember how Tamannaah's Kaavaalaa set screens on fire? This is where he shines. He balances his trademark dark comedy with mass elevations so well. The characters are quirky, dialogues are witty and scenes like the tea stall shooting and bridge fight are designed purely as mass fans moments. Followed by a banger interval block with Dileep just elevates everything and makes us think second half will be bigger.But second half is a different story. Once the Kalpauk family enters, the film becomes static. Same kind of scenes repeat, emotional connect doesn't feel organic like the first part and the confrontations look like Nelson is trying too hard to recreate Jailer 1 moments. The main strength in Jailer 1 is how seamlessly it blends The powerful cameos of Shivaraj Kumar and Mohanlal into the narrative whereas those cameos look forced and bland in Jailer 2. His BGM is power packed and lifts every elevation, but the songs themselves break the flow. He never missed the opportunity to elevate Thalaivar's aura. Vijay Kartik Kannan's visuals are slick and give a rich look to both Coimbatore and Goa portions. Editing by Nirmal should have been tighter, especially in the last 45 minutes. At 2 hours 45 minutes, the film feels long. The unravelling of twists and also the half an hour in the run-up to the climax takes the viewers to another level. However, once the final twist is revealed, the film's pace dips. The antagonist in the climax tests the patience of the viewers with his monologuing.The background music of Sibi Mathew Alex is good. It increased the intensity levels in the story. The cinematography of Farhan Vadakkan is good. It showed the scenes in an impactful manner. Sharat J's editing could have been better, as there are drags in the narration. The gory scenes could have been toned down completely. A little fine-tuning of the script and interesting twists would have added more firepower. Ram Gopal Varma landed in trouble when Eclatant Films Private Limited slapped a legal notice on him while seeking ₹29.67 crore over an agreement dating back to 2010. The dispute could extend beyond the filmmaker, with the banner reportedly warning producers, distributors and OTT platforms against doing business with him or acquiring rights to projects associated with him.The legal notice was issued by Eclatant Films on 15 October giving Ram Gopal Varma time till 30 October to settle the dues. The amount includes the pending principal and ₹11.38 crore in interest. Ram Gopal Varma maintained silence over the entire controversy.A source shared "he dispute dates back to an agreement signed by the two parties on April 10, 2010, which was reportedly upheld by the Bombay High Court on April 17, 2013. Eclatant Films claims that the agreement required Ram to obtain its written No Objection Certificate (NOC) before undertaking certain film projects. This included work as a producer, director, writer or co-producer on films covered by the contract.
