Will Tollywood Filmmakers Shift Their Radar?

Currently, entire world is shaking miserably against the strength of an invisible enemy Coronavirus. Almost all the industries got impacted by Coronavirus and the film industry is one of them.

One need not be surprised if that effect continued until the end of the year. Lakhs of families who are dependent on the film industry are in a helpless manner. Already producers, distributors, and theatres owners are experiencing huge losses with the closure of theatres. Producers under these circumstances are not in a position to come up with high budget films.

The producers and directors may tread carefully from now onwards as they will be forced to implement cost-cutting in all departments. Once the lockdown is lifted if they have to rope in actress, technicians from other states, they have to pay them more.

Producers and directors are thinking about that possibility. This may come as a blessing in disguise as they will try to reduce cost by roping in local talent and encourage them. Analysts feel this, in turn, will change the outlook of the Tollywood industry.

They are of the opinion if the makers encourage local latent then it will be a boon to the industry. Already other industries like Kollywood, Mollywood, and Sandalwood are following these strategies. It has to be seen whether Tollywood makers shift their radar on local talent after lockdown?
