The rapid spread of horrendous coronavirus epidemic and subsequent lockdown being imposed on nation led to a huge crisis in every sector and film industry is not an exception. Many big and medium budgeted films, which earlier were contemplated to hit screens in 2020, will inevitably be deferred to next year.
However, two big films, which are expected to do more than Rs.100 crore pre theatrical business each, are expected to release this year.
Megastar Chiranjeevi's Acharya got maximum talky part of the film was wrapped up. Once the lockdown is lifted, the regular shoot will resume and the film is likely to release during Dasara season.
Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab is the next big venture to hit screens. Hitherto, the film was planned for release on May 15. But then, the film maybe pushed to August 14.
Among medium budgeted ventures, King Nagarjuna's Wild Dog and Victory Venkatesh's Naarappa are likely to release in the later half of this year.
Among others Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja, Mega Prince Varun Tej, Supreme hero Sai Tej, youth crazy hero Vijay Deverakonda, Akhil and a few other upcoming heroes may ensure their films released this year itself.
