Can Pawan Achieve What Chiru Couldn’t?

Power Star Pawan Kalyan is currently concentrating on powerful comeback to silver screen. He is starring in PINK remake titled Vakeel Saab but all his eyes are on his next under the direction of Krish who is coming up with a powerful period film with Moghul backdrop and Pawan will be seen as the messiah of the poor, akin Robinhood.

The makers are adding Bollywood flavor to the period film planning to rope in hot Srilankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez and also actor Arjun Rampal. Arjun Rampal will be seen as a powerful antagonist while Jacqueline Fernandez who did the special song in Rebel Star Prabhas’ Saaho is set to play the female lead.

The makers are planning to turn the film into a pan India entertainer increasing Bollywood flavor in the film. Now the question is can Pawan Kalyan achieve what his brother Megastar Chiranjeevi failed to do in Bollywood.

Chiranjeevi recently realized his dream of starring in the role of freedom fighter with Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, a biopic on India’s first freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Ram Charan turned the film into a Pan India one, by roping in none other than Bollywood superstar Big B Amitabh Bachchan as Narasimha Reddy’s mentor Gosai Venkanna.

However despite the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, Sye Raa failed to make a splash in Bollywood though it did well in two Telugu states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Under these circumstances, the makers of Pawan Kalyan’s film trying for pan India film adding Bollywood flavour may not be the best option. It has to be seen whether Pawan Kalyan can achieve pan India image while his brother Chiranjeevi failed to do so despite sharing screen presence with Amitabh Bachchan.
