Dil Raju Should Go With Vijay’s Version

Chennai beauty Trisha who is not seen on Tollywood for quite some time is busy starring in Tamil films. Her latest film 96 is releasing in a grand manner on Oct 4th and movie lovers are waiting eagerly to watch it soon as the film's first look, teaser and trailer created lot of interest. 

Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha are starring in the film directed by Prem Kumar. Since Dil Raju acquired the rights of the film, expectations are soaring on it in Tollywood. The film's Tamil version premiers were screened for celebrities and here is the report. 

Ramachandran (Vijay Sethupathi) a travel photographer leads a lonely life by confining to his profession. He accidently gets a chance to go to his native place Tanjore and as he goes nostalgic visiting the hospital he took birth and the first shopping mall, he goes to the school in which he did schooling in 1996. He remembers his first love Janaki Devi alias Janu (Trisha) who unlike him was quite outgoing and outspoken. 

He plans a reunion and Janu comes along with friends Subha (Devadarsini), Murali (Bhavati Perumal), Sateesh (Adukalam Murugadoss). Janu after marriage settles in Singapore. Jan and Ramchandran get excited on seeing each other after 22 years. Both share their memories and the next day she should catch the early morning flight. What happens between them form rest of the story. 

Vijay Sethupathi is said to have attracted with his performance along with Trisha. Director Pram got the desired output from both of them by showcasing humor and emotions. Aditya and Gowri who played younger Ramchandran and Janu too performed well. Govind Vasanth came up with good music and usage of Ilayaraja's songs situationally synced well with the film. 

Though the film is bereft of any commercial elements, one comes out with a feeling of watching a feel good entertainer. However it is highly risky of remaking the film in Telugu. It is not that easy for the makers right from the artists selection to carry the same feel in the remake. 

One should wait and watch how Dil Raju handle it and whom will he cast in the lead roles. It is better to dub the film but the dubbed version cannot reach Telugu movie lovers as Vijay Sethupathi is an unknown entity.
