iBomma Ravi Gets Partial Relief in Bank Account Case
iBomma Ravi, also known as Immadi Ravi, has received partial relief from Nampally court in Hyderabad. The court directed police to allow him to use his previously frozen bank accounts for regular financial transactions. However, the approximately ₹3 crore amount remaining frozen in those accounts cannot currently be withdrawn.
Ravi had approached the court citing financial difficulties and problems supporting his family after his accounts were frozen during the piracy investigation. His petition sought access to the frozen funds, including the ₹3 crore amount. The court granted permission to operate the accounts but declined to release the disputed funds.
The development follows Ravi’s arrest in November 2025 in connection with the iBomma piracy investigation. Police have alleged that the network caused losses running into thousands of crores for the film industry and involved multiple mirror websites. These remain allegations connected to the ongoing investigation, rather than established court findings.
Ravi subsequently received conditional bail in February 2026, with restrictions reportedly including cooperation with investigators and surrender of his passport. His latest petition specifically sought relief from the financial restrictions. The Nampally court’s latest order provides access to account operations, while keeping the ₹3 crore under the existing freeze.
