Charan or Swamy: Who Is Dhruva?

The repairs presently made into the original script of Tamil hit ‘Thani Oruvan’ by director Surender Reddy should make sure that original essence isn’t diluted. The powerful one to one mind and action game between newly appointed Police Officer and a medical mafia ruling Researcher was made so riveting in Tamil version by director and writer Raja, all it resulted in a new commercial format entertainment with Box Office bestowing a blockbuster success.

Latest we heard is Geetha Arts contemplating on ‘Dhruva’ as the title for the film. Though, early on we are reported about ‘Rakshak’ as the one in their thoughts but now ‘Dhruva’ floats to top. Here comes the actual question. ‘Thani Oruvan’ literally means ‘The One Man’ was identically applicable to heroism in Jayam Ravi and stylish villainy in Aravind Swamy. So, the title sounded perfect.

Now, ‘Dhruva’ should automatically mean the name of our hero Ramcharan which also suggests that Surender Reddy is going to centralize the story and script only around heroism. Reason why few remakes fail miserably at Box Office is the writers and directors inability in scripting the same by carrying the original and genuine feel. Hope, ‘Dhruva’ will not suffer with those regular drawbacks.
