Reason behind Mahesh's Drop Out

The super hit run of ‘Businessman’ made Puri Jagannath to announce quickly about his plans of going for a sequel with in this year. Things have changed now after rapid fire completion of ‘Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu’ slated for a release soon. To be still clearer, more than Puri we hear that it is Mahesh Babu who showed aversion towards the idea of sequel. Yes, ‘Businessman’ was a blockbuster with earth shattering openings and major part of credit for this would go to ‘Dookudu’ mania.

If ‘Businessman’ would have been released before ‘Dookudu,’ surely we couldn’t have expected this range of openings. An unreal storyline with no proper scripting are major drawbacks of ‘Businessman’ while dialogues and Mahesh’s presence saved the day for RR Movie Makers who wrapped up the shoot at minimum cost. So, Mahesh might not be interested in going for a similar trick once again as audience may not receive it with same fervor. He has done a good thing by dropping the subject while Puri can sit for a new line other than ‘Mumbai and Pishaap’ to present Prince in new avatar, is the popular opinion prevailing in film circles.
