During the last few days, rumours spread about star actress Sreeleela dating star crickter Tilak Varma ever since her mom was seen near Mumbai Indians dugout.

Dr Swarnalatha was reportedly seen in the stands during a recent IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings in Dharamsala. What started as a stray rumour on social media then grew into claims that someone from Sreeleela’s team had attended the match wearing a ‘Tilak’ jersey.

Fans also claimed that Sreeleela and Tilak had reacted to each other’s social media posts and then supposedly unfollowed each other after the rumours surfaced. None of these claims were backed by the statements issued later by her team and mother, both of whom rejected the dating speculation outright.

The buzz increased further after a video shot in a lobby showed Suryakumar Yadav teasing his teammate. In the clip, Suryakumar can be heard saying, "Tilak Varma, na? Tilak Varma is in love." The moment quickly spread across social media, where many users took the joke as proof that Tilak was indeed dating Sreeleela

Following this, Sreeleela's mother Dr.Swarnalatha trashed all those things. She said "These rumours are absolutely false and have no truth in them. We do not know how such stories emerge. There is not even an iota of truth in reports claiming that Sreeleela and Tilak Varma have been seeing each other for the past year. It is purely a figment of imagination."

She revealed “She is preparing for her NEET-PG examination scheduled in June. Right now, her concentration is entirely on studies and films. She has another five to six years ahead for such personal matters and is balancing both academics and career very well,”

Even Sreeleela's team clarified "The rumours surrounding Tilak Varma and Sreeleela are completely baseless and untrue. The two have never even met or spoken to each other. There is absolutely no truth to these speculations, and such fabricated stories should not be circulated without any factual basis."
