Babu plea for debate on TTD rejected

Hyderabad, Aug 26 :

Telugu  Desam Party supremo  N Chandrababu Naidu on  Wednesday  moved a resolution calling for  a debate on  the jewellery imbroglio at Tirumala  Tirupati Devasthanam. Endowments Minister Gade Venkat Reddy, in reply said questions pertaining to pledging of gold ornaments belonging to Kodanda Rama temple would be dealt with in the House in the day. Hence, questions relating to the TTD  should be taken up later, he indicated.

Meanwhile, Praja Rajyam  party chief  Chiranjeevi  supplemented  Chandra Babu’s statement saying that  the Kodanda Rama temple was only a minor issue  and the bigger issue was  the TTD issue.  He further stressed that he had the recorded proof to corroborate the inefficiency of the Government  in tackling the  TTD jewellery issue. The minister expressed his readiness to face any number of questions on the TTD issue on August 28.
