Hyderabad, Aug 22 :

The people of the state will decide the fate of Praja Rajyam and not the electronic and print media industry, stated film-star-turned-politician and Praja Rajyam founder on K Chiranjeevi on Saturday.

Celebrating his 54th birthday at his house among family members and film fans, Chiranjeevi said that the media wants to dictate terms to the politicians. “This is not a good sign in the democratic country,” he added.

Earlier when media made some comments against me and my party, I have not bothered. But now they are hatching a conspiracy to finish my new party, he quipped.

“For any party the flag is very important and it is heart and soul of the party. It is like tricolor of our nation,” he pointed out.

After joining politics, the PRP leader said that my responsibility has increased more. “The politics is entirely a different field. But it gave satisfaction to me by providing an opportunity to raise public issues in the assembly session,” he said.

“Now I can serve better to the hapless people and solve their problems promptly. Our party members will take up agitations in the district headquarters by raising public issues,” he added. He urged the government to take up relief operations on priority basis in the drought affected districts.
