Sonia for restraint over T, says DS

New Delhi,  Jan 22: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief D Srinivas met  All-India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi here on Friday and appraised her of the latest situation prevailing in Andhra Pradesh.Speaking to the media persons after meeting Sonia Gandhi, the PCC chief said Sonia is very serious on the Telangana issue. ``She has called for restraint on the part of the people of Andhra Pradesh over the Telangana issue,’’ Srinivas added.Srinivas  hoped that the Congress Core Committee, which is scheduled to meet in the evening by 5.15 p.m, will take a concrete stand on Telangana.

The PCC chief, who reached Delhi on Thursday evening, has met Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday evening and discussed with him the Telangana tangle.D Srinivas is expected to meet a few more senior Congress leaders and appraise them of the latest happenings in the State before the Core Congress Committee meets in the evening.It is learnt that the main agenda for the Friday's Core Committee meeting would solely be the Telangana issue.
