Piped gas to houses from Sept 2010: CM

Hyderabad, Jan 21: Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Friday stated that the Government will make efforts to supply domestic gas to houses from September 2010.Talking to media persons after a review meeting with officials concerned on the progress of special economic zones, to be set up across the state, at the Secretariat, the Chief Minister said the government will make efforts to supply liquefied petroleum gas to houses from September 2010 by laying pipelines from Krishna-Godavari basin.

He said the natural gas would reach every corner of the State and help the development of industries.The Chief Minister also agreed to release Rs 50 crore under the share of the State for the development of petrochem industries in Visakhapatnam and Kakinada special economic zones.The Chief Minister also directed the officials to speed up the process for the allotment of land for the proposed 73 special economic zones across the state.
