Union Minister of Tourism K Chiranjeevi on Saturday tried to defend his younger brother Pawan Kalyan although he dismissed his call for "Congress hatao" (remove Congress).

Speaking to media persons, Chiranjeevi said that Pawan Kalyan was a sensitive person and he spoke out of emotions during the launch of his party on Friday. He said that although he supports his brother, his loyalties would remain with the Congress. He defended Pawan Kalyan's criticism on the way Congress party bifurcated Andhra Pradesh. However, he said it was wrong to blame the Congress alone for the State's division as it was the last one which took the decision on Telangana. He said all parties were equally responsible for State's division.

Chiranjeevi said that he did not speak to Pawan Kalyan about his new party Jana Sena. However, he said every citizen has a right to float a new party.

He also said that Congress party has a history of 127 years and it survived severe criticism several times. Therefore, he said no one can finish the Congress party.
